Snowflake Afghan

I came across this pattern for the Snowflake Afghan while reading a thread at Crochetville and just knew that this was the afghan I wanted to make for our family Christmas exchange. I like the afghan blocked in blue like the pattern picture but I had some deep burgandy and thought I would work one up in that to see which I liked best. The picture seems to show the color as more of a red but it is a deeper color. I still think I like the blue. What do you think?

Hi Theresa,
I have looked at your site a number of times, and I keep coming back to look at the snowflake afghan. I just love it! I also like your pig pillow! So cute. I hope you are still crocheting. I am sitting her tonight with my dog crocheting a granny square pattern I find on one of the blog sites.

I've been trying to make this pattern with cotton yarns, since I thought it would make interesting dishcloths for Christmas presents, but I can't seem to get the blue to fill in as well. Any tips on getting the pattern to lay nicely?

Hi Theresa,
Can you please tell me step by step how to make this snowflake afghan? I would love to see on You tube if that is possible.

Thanks
