I didn't have a pattern for the hat. I had a picture of how I wanted it to look in my head and went from there. I used double strands and a K hook and made an extra large pom for the end. I love the hat but love the one wearing it even more and today I get to go snuggle with him while my sister takes pictures of my kids.

Mommy and Me Shell Beanie
I am hoping to update this blog over the weekend. We are pretty much snowed in due to a storm so I thought it would be a good time to finally get my projects from this Fall up on the blog.
My sister does photography and wanted a few little hats to use for babies. I love to do hats because they work up so quickly and there are so many fun patterns to choose from. I spent some time looking around the web and then purchased the pattern for this hat on Etsy.
It is the Mommy and Me Shell Beanie Hat. I added the bow, which can be removed with a clip. This hat worked up quickly and the pattern was very well written. I will definitely make more of these.
