I still plan to get a few pictures of Olivia in the hats but I found my camera and uploaded pictures so I thought I would share. The baby doll model is my daughter's doll from when she is little. The doll has the same head circumfrence as little Olivia so it was easy to measure and make the hats for her. <br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">All of the hats were super easy to crochet. The newsboy style hat I did without a pattern, using two strands of Aran Red Heart acryllic and a K hook. The pattern for the pink and brown hat can be found <strong><a href="http://thedaintydaisyblog.blogspot.com/search/label/free%20pattern"><span style="color: #38761d;">HERE</span></a></strong>.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

Infact, it's been over a year since I've updated anything here. Over the winter months last year I didn't do much crafting because of a back injury and it seems that when I was doing something it was knitting up some easy dishcloths to have on hand for gifts. I did do a few projects here and there but not much. <br />
<br />
I made this adorable sock monkey hat for my nephew Tyler and it fits him perfectly for this year. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Tyler1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Tyler1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Tyler.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Tyler.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This afternoon I made up three newborn hats for my new grandneice who was born a week and a half ago. I made another pink mommy and me shell beanie, like the one posted <a href="http://www.everydaycrochet.blogspot.com/2010/12/mommy-and-me-shell-beanie.html" target="_blank">HERE</a> and then another brown beanie from a free pattern <a href="http://thedaintydaisyblog.blogspot.com/2010/04/shell-stitch-beanie.html" target="_blank">HERE</a>. To the brown beanie I added a layered flower in colors of yellow, pink and maroon. I found the flower tutorial at <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/crochet-flowers-and-leaves.html" target="_blank">Attic24 in this post</a>. I also made a cream colored newsboy style hat that I will add a fabric flower to. Hopefully I will get some pictures of princess Olivia in her new hats over Christmas.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

Ho! Ho!Is he not thee cutest Santa you have ever seen? This is my precious nephew Tyler in the Santa hat that I made for him this last week. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee505/everydaysacred/154377_470462996219_501176219_6294592_7616034_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" ox="true" src="http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee505/everydaysacred/154377_470462996219_501176219_6294592_7616034_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee505/everydaysacred/150806_470463156219_501176219_6294597_5614361_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" ox="true" src="http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee505/everydaysacred/150806_470463156219_501176219_6294597_5614361_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
I didn't have a pattern for the hat. I had a picture of how I wanted it to look in my head and went from there. I used double strands and a K hook and made an extra large pom for the end. I love the hat but love the one wearing it even more and today I get to go snuggle with him while my sister takes pictures of my kids.Theresahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13416466631363738594noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4429842065352784964.post-25275828759228415512010-12-03T16:40:00.000-08:002010-12-03T16:40:38.778-08:00Mommy and Me Shell BeanieI am hoping to update this blog over the weekend. We are pretty much snowed in due to a storm so I thought it would be a good time to finally get my projects from this Fall up on the blog.<br />
<br />
My sister does photography and wanted a few little hats to use for babies. I love to do hats because they work up so quickly and there are so many fun patterns to choose from. I spent some time looking around the web and then purchased the pattern for this hat on Etsy.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee505/everydaysacred/SummerFall2010067.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" ox="true" src="http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee505/everydaysacred/SummerFall2010067.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
It is the <a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/62814035/mommy-and-me-shell-beanie-crochet?ref=pr_shop">Mommy and Me Shell Beanie Hat</a>. I added the bow, which can be removed with a clip. This hat worked up quickly and the pattern was very well written. I will definitely make more of these.<br />

While I might have been quiet on the blogging front I have been busy crocheting and knitting. Over the summer I mostly worked on quick knitted dishcloths. I kept most of them for myself and used my favorite pattern found HERE.<br />
<br />
My sister had her second child in August and asked me to make some cute hats and picture props for him.<br />
<br />
I purchased the patterns for the bear hat and diaper cover and the pea pod at Etsy... I don't remember the shops at the moment but hopefully can find them and update with the links soon.<br />

Unfortunately the lighting stinks and I don't have anyone here to hold the blanket up nicely so that you could see all the edging, so I hung it over my antique wash table in my bathroom but the sides hang down. Oh well... Here it is.<br /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285383612701072450" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1rF1E3erU_yGVKd1TcLmuKSMdRyQlclrElo8RKR7knXbsiVwrVizNVFP8aCb966gp3dqo2zhg2kw2O9B3RcuuLPPePXhCsMdbSOE6VG5IJbGypdZdDYMew9Ja9b1Gaf0WVHOOTDTOFHPK/s400/DSC03131.JPG" border="0" />Theresahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13416466631363738594noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4429842065352784964.post-12631107895435247272008-12-08T18:18:00.000-08:002008-12-08T18:31:37.415-08:00Let it snow, let it snowThere are flakes falling outside and there should be more flakes here inside too but I can't seem to find the right color of blue to finish my snowflake afghan. I ran out of the Red Heart blue I was using. I thought it was called midnight blue but I can't find that anywhere and I've been to Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's and two different Walmarts! The closest I coudl find was called soft navy but there seems to be a color difference. I'm going to work up a few motifs tonight and see if I notice the color change or not. I still have 13 motifs to fnish plus the the edging. Here is how the afghan looks tonight.<br /><br /><br /><br /><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 360px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 559px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/DSC02817.jpg" border="0" /><br />The other afghan that I'm working on is this one. It is worked in a different color for each row in order to see the stitching, so there are lots of little tails to tuck in! I love how it is turning out though and its an easy one to work on. Just single crochet, double crochet and then treble crochet. You end each row with the treble crochet and then you tie off, turn the piece and start with a new color. You would start the new color with a single crochet on top of the treble crochet from the last row. Very simple, very fast.<br /><p></p><p></p><br /><p></p><br /><p><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 372px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 301px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/DSC02816.jpg" border="0" /></p>Theresahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13416466631363738594noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4429842065352784964.post-54369386997309342622008-11-28T12:47:00.000-08:002008-11-28T12:52:30.918-08:00ProgressThis is NOT a good picture. There are windows on both sides and the lighting made the midnight blue look almost black. I'll try to take a better picture this evening.<br /><br />It's fun to see some of the strips stitched together. I love the afghan and will have a hard time parting with it after all the labor of love. :-) I believe I have 5 more rows to go in order to finish this. It's coming along quickly though. I started it two weeks ago and I've not been able to work on it everyday.<br /><br /><a href="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/DSC02779-1.jpg"><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 343px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 444px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/DSC02779-1.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div></div>Theresahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13416466631363738594noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4429842065352784964.post-36239976775280236232008-11-24T20:07:00.000-08:002008-11-24T20:08:49.936-08:00Because I'm crazy...... I started another afghan. I have so many projects that I want to get to but don't have the time. I think we are taking the whole month of December off of school and focusing on hospitality, handiwork and cooking. :-) Maybe then I'll finish everything in time for gift giving.<br /><br />I went to my second weight watchers meeting tonight. I'm down 6.8 lbs in two weeks. Yay!Theresahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13416466631363738594noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4429842065352784964.post-35966723522742605882008-11-20T20:13:00.001-08:002008-11-20T20:17:36.040-08:00Snowflake Afghan UpdateI decided to go with the Midnight Blue. <br /><br />So far I've gotten the first strip of 7 done and stitched together. I have one more white snowflake to border and then I'll stitch together the second strip.<br /><br />I came across some <a href="http://www.freewebs.com/capscrochet/patterns.htm?blogentryid=4029022">cute totes</a> that I'd like to make as gifts too but I need to get a bit further along with the afghan before I start another project.Theresahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13416466631363738594noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4429842065352784964.post-13608264658024574502008-11-20T20:10:00.000-08:002008-11-20T20:12:24.123-08:00Snowflake AfghanI came across this pattern for the <a href="http://www.artoftangle.com/snowflake.htm">Snowflake Afghan</a> while reading a thread at <a href="http://www.everydaycrochet.typepad.com/www.crochetville.org">Crochetville</a> and just knew that this was the afghan I wanted to make for our family Christmas exchange. I like the afghan blocked in blue like the pattern picture but I had some deep burgandy and thought I would work one up in that to see which I liked best. The picture seems to show the color as more of a red but it is a deeper color. I still think I like the blue. What do you think?<br /><div></div><br /><div><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 404px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 193px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/DSC02734.jpg" border="0" /></div>Theresahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13416466631363738594noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4429842065352784964.post-34863208003250505012008-11-20T20:06:00.000-08:002008-11-20T20:10:24.852-08:00Shawl for Samantha<a href="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/sammishawl1.jpg"><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 374px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 311px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/sammishawl1.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/Sammishawl.jpg"><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 373px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 289px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/Sammishawl.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div>I made this shawl up as I went, lol. It is an easy pattern to follow and I really shoudl get it out and finish it up for Christmas. :-)<br /><br /><a href="http://www.sewonfire.com/round_ripple_afghan.htm">HERE</a> is the pattern.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/DSC00935.jpg"></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/DSC00935.jpg"></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Theresahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13416466631363738594noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4429842065352784964.post-34631755223402415732008-11-20T19:23:00.001-08:002008-11-20T19:24:06.818-08:00Summer Purse<div>This was made from the Bernat denim (in green). I used to strands together so it would hold its shape nicely and not need to be lined. Lining still scares me, lol. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/crafts.jpg" border="0" /></div>Theresahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13416466631363738594noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4429842065352784964.post-61070970467819328932008-11-20T19:21:00.000-08:002008-11-20T19:23:16.751-08:00Easter Purse<div>A cute Easter purse for my neice Reagan. It has been well loved and I enjoyed making it although more than once I got tired of all the sc and had to do some other crocheting before picking this back up.<br /><br /><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq118/Everyday_Crochet/Crochet/Hats021.jpg" border="0" /><br />The pattern was found in a book titled Pillow Pets. It was a Coats & Clark book that had 7 different animals in it. The pig, a cat, lion, duck, turtle, bear and dinosaur.</div>Theresahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13416466631363738594noreply@blogger.com1
